A little help for your next great replay.
For the best recording quality, start recording from Control Center after your game is open in the orientation you want to use.
How to Start Recording
- Open your game.Get it ready in the orientation you want to record.
- Open Control Center.Swipe down from the top-right corner of your iPhone.
- Choose InstaClip.Press and hold the Screen Recording control, then select InstaClip.
- Start the broadcast.Tap Start Broadcast or Start Sharing, then return to your game.
First, complete InstaClip’s setup and allow motion access for the double-shake trigger. Capture requires an active subscription or eligible trial. If Screen Recording is missing, add it using Control Center’s Add a Control option.
How to Save a Replay
Choose a 15-, 30-, or 60-second replay duration in InstaClip. Keep recording while you play. When something worth saving happens, deliberately shake your phone back and forth twice.
Open InstaClip’s Library to view saved clips, share them, save a copy to Photos, or delete them. Allow time for the replay buffer to fill after starting. A successful export may show a local notification if enabled; a banner is not guaranteed by iOS.
Subscription / Restore Purchases
InstaClip offers one monthly subscription. Eligible new subscribers receive a three-day free trial, then US $1.99 per month in the US storefront. Regional prices vary; Apple’s purchase sheet shows your actual price and terms. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled.
Use Restore Purchases in the paywall or Settings with the same Apple Account used for the purchase. Use Manage Subscription in InstaClip Settings, or iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, to manage or cancel. Cancellation normally preserves access until the current entitlement expires. Saved clips remain viewable, shareable, and deletable after expiry.
For payment or refund requests, visit Apple’s purchase support. See the Apple Standard EULA.
Troubleshooting
A shake did not save a clip
Check that the iOS recording indicator is present, InstaClip has motion permission, and your subscription is active. Let the selected replay window fill, then try two deliberate back-and-forth movements. Check Library after export has had time to finish. Keep enough free device storage.
Recording stopped or the status looks wrong
Use the iOS recording indicator or Control Center to check and stop the broadcast. Return to InstaClip, then open your game and start a fresh broadcast. If it keeps happening, email us your iPhone model, iOS version, and what happened. Do not send sensitive recordings unless necessary.
The recording is blurry or rotated
Start a fresh broadcast while already inside the game in your preferred orientation. If quality drops after switching apps or rotating, stop and restart from inside the game. Quality can vary with the game, device, and iOS capture behavior.
I see a notification in Notification Center, but no banner
Check Settings → Notifications → InstaClip and enable banners. Check Focus and Scheduled Summary. iOS may suppress banners during gameplay or screen sharing even when a notification is delivered. Check Library to confirm whether the clip saved.
Save to Photos fails
Allow Photos access when prompted, or review InstaClip’s permissions in iPhone Settings. Check free storage. A failed Photos export does not remove the original clip from InstaClip.
Audio is missing
Some apps or protected content do not provide capturable audio. InstaClip records available app/game audio; the current version does not include microphone audio.
My subscription is not recognized
Check your internet connection and Apple Account, use Restore Purchases, and confirm the subscription is active in Apple Settings. A pending purchase does not unlock recording until approved. Contact us if Apple shows an active subscription but capture remains locked.
