Privacy Policy
How InstaClip handles recordings, permissions, purchases, and support information.
Effective September 22, 2026
InstaClip processes recordings locally. It does not operate a gameplay-upload service or require an InstaClip account. Apple services, this website, and messages you send for support have separate data flows described below.
Recording and local storage
Screen capture begins only after you explicitly start InstaClip through iOS recording controls. While capture is active, the app processes screen frames and available app/game audio in a temporary rolling buffer so you can save recent gameplay. The current app discards microphone audio samples.
Anything visible on your screen, including messages or other personal information, may appear in a recording. Use the iOS recording indicator or Control Center to stop capture. Review clips before sharing them.
Saved clips and their library information are stored in the app’s local storage. Temporary recording segments are managed as a rolling buffer. InstaClip does not automatically upload gameplay to us. If you choose Save to Photos, enable automatic saving to Photos, or use Share, a copy goes to the destination you choose. iCloud Photos, device backups, and destination apps may process those copies according to your settings and their own policies.
Motion, preferences, and permissions
InstaClip uses device motion locally to detect a deliberate double shake and save a replay. Replay duration, notification preferences, and other settings are stored on-device.
Photos add-only access is requested when you choose to save clips to Photos or enable automatic saving. InstaClip does not request access to browse your photo library. You can deny Photos access and keep clips in InstaClip.
If you enable saved-clip notifications, InstaClip requests notification permission and schedules local confirmations. It does not use a developer-operated push notification service. iOS notification settings, Focus, and system behavior determine whether a banner appears. You can change permissions in iPhone Settings.
Subscriptions and Apple
No InstaClip username, password, or account is required. Subscriptions and payments are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. InstaClip uses Apple’s StoreKit transaction and subscription status information to verify whether capture access is active, including trial eligibility and expiration. We do not receive your card details from the app.
Apple processes information under Apple’s privacy policy. You can manage or cancel your subscription in Apple Settings. Existing local clips remain available after subscription access ends.
Diagnostics, analytics, and third-party SDKs
The current release code contains no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting SDK. It does not include a developer server endpoint for uploading recordings or app telemetry. The app writes operational status and diagnostic information locally and uses Apple’s on-device logging facilities. Apple may process system crash or diagnostic reports according to your device’s analytics settings.
If you voluntarily send us a diagnostic file, screenshot, or clip for support, we receive that material as part of your message. Please remove unrelated personal information first.
Support messages and this website
When you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments. We use them to respond and investigate your request. We retain correspondence as needed to handle the request and related follow-up, or meet applicable obligations. You can ask us to delete correspondence; we may need to retain information where legally required.
This static website is hosted by Vercel. We have not added analytics scripts, advertising pixels, tracking cookies, or a contact form. To deliver and secure the site, Vercel may process request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, and timestamps. See Vercel’s Privacy Notice. Email providers also process support correspondence under their own policies.
Your choices and deletion
You can stop recording, turn off optional notifications or automatic Photos saving, and delete clips from InstaClip. Deleting an InstaClip clip does not delete copies you previously saved or shared elsewhere. Removing the app can remove its local files; backups may remain under your Apple settings. We cannot retrieve or delete local clips remotely.
Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning personal information you send us, including access, correction, or deletion. Contact the address below to make a request.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the app’s data practices change and revise the effective date. This policy covers InstaClip and this support website.
